The 7th Annual “Fashion for the Cure,” a fashion and entertainment gala, takes place on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:30 pm. The gala’s special fashion segment, “Think Pink and Green,” will feature eco-friendly “green” designer's fashions. The runway will wind thru a wash of pink-lit buildings. Breast Cancer survivors, the real stars of the night, will model designs by Sash, Eco-Centric, Stacia and Not Your Daughter's Jeans. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Komen for the Cure Los Angeles County Affiliate.

Featured Art Auction

Losing his grandmother to breast cancer several years ago, artist Phil Barnes of Northridge chose to be involved in Fashion for the Cure as a personal statement to the love of his family member. "I express deeply through my art where designing a piece for the branding and fundraising of the event is truly quite an honor and act of my compassion," comments Phil. His acrylic painting dedicated to the event, "One Love" which will be auctioned off at the event, represents the victorious, healing, yet feminine essence of those affected by breast cancer.
