Steven Spielberg has been chosen to receive the Visual Effects Society's Lifetime Achievement Award at the group's 6th annual awards ceremony at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on Feb. 10, 2008. Previous recipients include George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis and Dennis Muren.
