The Storefront for Art and Architecture is opening its first Pop-Up Storefront in Los Angeles on April 11 at Paperchase Printing on Sunset Blvd. Pop-Up Storefronts are planned to open in Milan, London, and Yokohama throughout 2008.
The opening exhibition is Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed that examines architecture of the last two decades of the Soviet Union, photographed by Frèderic Chaubin. The exhibition will be on view April 11 through May 17, 2008 with an opening reception on April 11 at 7pm.
In addition, there will also be a conversation on 20th Century Soviet Architecture on April 13 at 2pm with:
-Barry Bergdoll, organizer of Lost Vanguard and Philip Johnson Chief Curator of Architecture & Design at MoMA, New York,

The opening and conversation are part of Los Angeles Art Weekend, a new arts festival, taking place from April 10-13 that highlights the city's vast array of creative talent working in art, architecture, design, and film.
