The first annual HALLA GALA Halloween extravaganza is one of our Featured Events for this weekend, and it sounds amazing in several respects. Not only will there be food and drink in abundance and an artistic ambiance to revel in, but Leonard Nimoy -- yes, THE Leonard Nimoy, who has lived long and prospered as both actor and celebrated photographer -- will be there as well, and some guests will even get a portrait taken by the man himself. As for costumes, guests are encouraged to come as "your secret self" — your alternate identity or inner persona — as you take part in an evening of fantasy, fashion, and fun to benefit the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
