All bad puns aside, LA's own Harry Shearer has a CD out that has garnered much attention, called Songs Pointed and Pointless. Shearer has been performing a great deal all over LA in recent months, and signing (at House of Blues and Book Soup, for example) -- and not too long ago he also put out a novel novel, NOT ENOUGH INDIANS (the premise being: What do you do if your town needs money? Why, pretend you're an Indian tribe and get a casino, of course!). We heard a rumor that Shearer pal Christopher Guest may want to direct a film version. Duh!
