"Spooky Meets Surreal" Costume Ball takes place October 27, 2007 at LACMA's Los Angeles Times Central Court, followed by an afterparty at the LACMA West Penthouse
Kick off the Halloween season with Muse and a spellbinding after-hours viewing of "Dalí: Painting & Film" and "The Arts in Latin America, 1492–1820." Witness the museum's metamorphosis into a surreal environment while enjoying live music, tasty treats, and special Halloween-inspired cocktails. Start your night with live music on the Los Angeles Times Central Court from 8–10 pm. Then continue the party until the stroke of midnight in the LACMA West Penthouse with DJ sets by the Dublab Sound System and dancing for the first ever Costume Ball After-Party! Fabulous prizes — including a trip for two courtesy of JetBlue, all-access passes to the American Film Institute festival, gift certificates to Theory, Ciudad and Border Grill, along with other great items — will be awarded for the Most Creative Costume, Best Art-Inspired Costume, and Best Halloween Costume.
